While Pretila based his story on the classic good versus evil trope, the book remained astonishingly free of any violence. The hero’s firm belief was that nobody could be inherently immoral but probably were misled or misinterpreted. Children’s literature generally includes moral lessons, and Noah’s Quest wasn’t an exception, either. Noah possessed all the qualities required to be a leader, teaching the readers the importance of compassion, empathy, and persistence. All in all, this would be a perfect book for children aged 7 to 12 years.”
